APPU was formed for the welfare, social interaction, and center point for Awo-Omamma tradition and cultural heritage.

Awo-Omamma is made up of 15 vilages: Isieke, Okworji, Obibi, Ohuba, Ubaheze, Ubachima, Ubogwu, Umubochi, Umudim, Umuelibe, Umuezeala, Umuezike, Umuezukwe, Umuokwe, and Umueme.
